What do we want? You name it! It doesn't have to be a fandom where Mistress Marilyn and I 'play' for you to share it here -- we'll gladly accept any and all fandom-related fanfic.
NOTE: Unfortunately all entries/posts are limited to 10,000 total characters. For sharing fic you'll need to break up posts to approximately four (4) pages per entry! (sigh) So sorry!
[Note: Original fiction is not fanfic. The 'fan' part of 'fanfic' implies that it's based on some type of fandom. But you can share your original fic here -- check in the 'neighborhood' section for 'orginal fiction' folder and post away! Thanks!]
We both love SLASH, but we're open to (and write) other forms of fic, as well -- like het, combo and gen. Got drabbles? We're all over 'em. Got POETRY? We love it! One-of-one fics (or what others call 'ficlets')? Yes. We want it!
What don't we want? Sorry, we've no interest in 'Mary Sue' fics. [Some original character woman or man is the focus of the fic.]
How do you post your fic?
Block format, please. This means no indenting for paragraphs, single-spaced text (with double-spacing between paragraphs -- not triple).
As far as we know (grin) 'special characters' (i.e. the © copyright sign, etc.) will display here -- so feel free to use them!
The 'subject' line? Like this:
Subject: FIC: "Fic Title" (1/5, SLASH)
Please always start with FIC:
The 1/number part can also be 1/? =or= 1/WIP [...meaning 'one of you don't know how many chapters' =or= 'one of a Work In Progress']
Of course, because of the size limitations mentioned above, you'll probably have to cut your chapters up quite a bit! (sigh)
So the number portion might end up as: 1a/? =or= 1a/5 1b/? =or= 1b/5
...and so on! Probably using using a, b, c (etc.) is the best method. Not perfect, but we'll have to 'make do.' (grin)
Additionally, it's helpful to the reader for you to know the TYPE of fic (as in gen, slash, het, combo, etc.). Above you'll see: (1/5, SLASH)
This indicates that the fic being posted is part one of five parts and is slash.
For both slash and het fics, it's nice if you include the major pairing contained in the fic (i.e. Hector/Achilles).
Your subject line would now read like this:
Subject: FIC: "Fic Title" (1/5, slash, Arthur/Lancelot)
If you're sharing a series, you might want to add the 'chapter' (part) name, as well:
Subject: FIC: "Fic Title" -- "Chapter Name" (1/5, slash, Arthur/Lancelot)
We greatly appreciate it if you put 'the end' (or something similar) to indicate the end of a work or chapter.
What not to include?
TBC (short for Too Be Continued). We'll assume if it's part one of a fic that you are planning to finish it sooner or later... (smile)
Begging for feedback. ('Feedback, please!' =or= 'What do you think?' and so on.)
Untitled work of any kind (including drabbles). People might want to REC (recommend) this work some day, after all. How can they do that if it doesn't have a title? (grin)
Want to include an image (banner) with your post? Great! Be sure to use the 'Add tag' (standard HTML won't work here)!
We'll reserve the right to add/edit this as we go along. If you have thoughts, feel free to reply and share them!
Great to having you sharing here -- feel free to do so often!
Thanks!
